November 20, iEARN@lgeria fall workshop was hosted at Hammou Boutlelis High School.
iEARN@lgeria was honored by the presence of different members of the community, the Director of Education in Oran state, the US Embassy Cultural Affairs Specialist, the Inspector of National Education, Head of the host school, teachers from 5 high schools and distinguished guests.
The workshop was opened with a welcoming speech given by the head of Host school, Mr.Abderrahim Semmoud, then the Director of Education, Mr.Mourad Kadiri who expressed his desire to learn about our achievements and support us to go further in our partnership with iEARN.
As a first part of the workshop, Mr. Mustapha Louznadji gave a debriefing of iEARN@lgeria outstanding achievements, he eloquently spoke about the project from the beginning of CSYN in January 2013 to the fall CSYN online courses that started on November 10th, 2014.
In the second part of the workshop, the country coordinator, Miss. Kheira Mezough, dealt with the main steps and basic elements of global collaborative projects. Then she moved to the three phases in details sharing the different worksheets provided by Buck Institute of Education (BIE) illustrating with pictures from previous projects.
At the end of the workshop, the new iEARN@lgeria class has decided to meet in January and then March to assess the project work progress till we meet in April 2015 for the students’ project presentations.
