It’s important to note that I have been lucky to take part in the Christopher Stevens Youth Network Fall 2015 Online Course as a member of iEARN@lgeria. It has been a great and exceptional opportunity to enrich my knowledge about project based-learning and know how to work with other peers all over the world. The use of the Internet, through iEARN, gave me the answer to my questions. iEARN integrates teachers and students from different countries for effective collaborative project work.
The program of the international education and resource network focuses on developing leadership and technology skills for both teachers and youth to engage in cross-cultural dialogue and explore global issues online.
The purpose of the program is to:
- Increase communication, ties and mutual understanding among youth all over the world.
- Build technology leadership and job skills for youth to explore global issues with their peers worldwide and make positive contributions to their communities.
- Increase teachers’ skills for using technology in the classroom and integrating global based learning.
Schools , all over the world , will collaborate on curriculum based projects around different thematic units such as Environment, Civic Education, Social Entrepreneurship, Empowering girls and young women, Peace Education, Food Security, Health? Literacy and Education.
iEARN@lgeria has been expanding its community throughout Algeria through a series of workshops and project activities. We tend to involve more teachers and students in the future activities to support e-learning and professional development to engage students in meaningful and real life projects.
"I am very happy to meet and work with Mr Mustapha Louznadji, the online course facilitator, and Miss.Kheira Mezough, the country coordinator during the online courses with iEARN."
